Swim With Crocodiles In Australia

eacrocodile110b.jpgHow close would you be willing to get to a man-eating saltwater crocodile?

A newly opened attraction in Australia, called Crocosaurus Cove in Darwin, now offers you the chance to be lowered into a tank full of crocs. Paying customers will enter the tank (with suspected man-eaters) wearing nothing more than a mask, snorkel and swimsuit. The 'Cage of Death' is said to satisfy adrenaline junkies who have grown tired of swimming with dolphins or cage diving amongst great white sharks.

A maximum of two tourists at a time climb into the acrylic cage which is then lowered into one of four separate crocodile enclosures. The cage stops short of full immersion (so the visitors can still come up for air). The cage is hexagonal-shaped to stop the crocodiles from getting a grip on it with their powerful teeth. Among the large crocodiles you would encounter is Snowy, an albino crocodile which was trapped and removed from a river in the Northern Territory on suspicion of having killed and eaten a man.

You read that correctly, you can swim with a crocodile who has eaten a man! Sweet...

Would you pay extra to test the waters with a saltwater crocodile? Does this look like an absolute recipe for disaster? Let us know in the comments! And make sure to check out Obesity Halts Marine Showbiz Performers.
